Naseem Vicky Reveals Why He Regrets Appearing on The Kapil Sharma Show

Naseem Vicky reveals that appearing on The Kapil Sharma Show is the biggest regret of his career.
Naseem Vicky is a famous Pakistani Comedian in the entertainment industry. He is well known for his standup comedy and work in Punjabi theater, films, and stage dramas. His comedic talent is known in Pakistan and recognized globally, earning him a global fanbase. He was part of the famous comedy Pakistani show “Family Front” and has also appeared in Indian comedy shows like “Nautanki k Superovers” and “Comedy Nights Bachao”.
Recently he appeared as a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s Podcast and shared about his career journey, the criticism he has to face from his fellows for working across the border, and how the career paths for comedians can be improved.
Naseem shared that his work internationally for representing Pakistan got much criticism instead of appreciation.
He calls out Vasay Chaudry and Mohsin Abbas Haider for making rude comments about him, Vasay belittled his work even though he has a lot of respect for him while Mohsin made fun of him in an interview despite never having met him personally.
“I respect them, but their comments made it seem like working across the border was no big achievement. One of them, I don’t even know personally,” said Naseem Vicky.
He further shared that these comments have affected him badly.
On revealing further about his work on “The Kapil Sharma Show”, he regretted working on this show and called this the biggest mistake of his career.
He said “I am embarrassed. Participating in Comedy Nights with Kapil brought me no benefits or recognition. Instead, I was criticized for my efforts to represent Pakistan internationally, with people questioning what I even accomplished there.”
Naseem also reflected on the struggles Pakistan’s comedy industry has to face, such as a lack of scripted performances and rehearsals in theaters and that is the only reason no new comedic talent has emerged for the past decade.
