Legendary Singer Hans Raj Hans Shares His Love for Pakistan’s Culture & Sufism

Hans Raj is a famous Indian folk Punjabi singer who is the part of this singing culture for over ten years now. People all over the world with a taste in Punjabi music love to listen to him. He has a fanbase not only in India but in Pakistan too. He has a deep love for Sufism and spirituality and has been singing in many Darghas too.
Hans Raj has visited Pakistan many times and expressed his love for the neighboring country recently at his performance in the UK while engaging with his fans, journalists, and social media influencers.
He called Lahore his “second home.” He shared that when he first crossed the Wagah Border and came to Lahore, he was shocked to see the similarities in culture, people, clothing, and even the language.
“The clothing, language, and even the use of similar colloquial insults reflect a shared heritage”, he said.
He also recalled an emotional moment of performing at Wagah Border and felt torn between two sides-one representing Lahore and the other his homeland in India
Speaking at the House of Lords, he also shared that he makes visits to Data Darbar, Nankana Sahib, and Pakkpatan whenever he gets a chance to visit Pakistan and feels a deep spiritual and artistic connection with Pakistan while being rich in Sufism.
He said, ” In terms of Sufism and art, No country surpasses Pakistan”.
